Roadmap

What we're building next

BuildrHub is early, and it's moving fast. Here's what's underway, what's queued behind it, and what we're still thinking about. If something you need is missing, tell us and it can jump the queue.

Building now

6

Work is underway. These are the next things to land.

Accounting

Accounting integrations

Connect BuildrHub to your accounting system without changing how you run the job. BuildrHub keeps the trade workflow in control and sends the right financial information across.

What it involves

  • Sync clients, invoices, payments and expenses
  • Keep tax and account mappings consistent
  • Reduce duplicate entry between BuildrHub and your accounts
  • Choose what syncs and review issues when something needs attention
Purchasing

Suppliers

Keep supplier details and purchasing activity together, so the people you buy from are connected to the jobs and costs they support.

What it involves

  • Supplier profiles with contacts and account details
  • See purchase orders and costs for each supplier
  • Attach suppliers to materials, expenses and jobs
  • Keep a clear history of what was ordered and from whom
Purchasing

Purchase orders

Create and manage purchase orders for any job, whether they begin from a planner, an estimate or a new order raised on site.

What it involves

  • Create a purchase order directly or from existing job costs
  • Choose the supplier and confirm quantities before sending
  • Email orders to suppliers from BuildrHub
  • Track committed costs against the job budget
Mobile

Mobile app for iOS and Android

BuildrHub on your phone, signed in to the same account as the web app. Built for the ute and the site, not a shrunken desktop screen.

What it involves

  • Same login, same data, no separate mobile account
  • Today's jobs and schedule on the home screen
  • Photos and site notes straight onto the job
  • Nova in your pocket for quick jobs between calls
Nova AI

Nova, your AI offsider

Nova is the assistant built into BuildrHub. Tell it what you want in plain English and it does it. It's in beta and you can use it today, but there's a lot more coming.

What it involves

  • Create and update clients, jobs, quotes, variations and invoices by asking
  • Log a cost by sending a photo of the receipt
  • Book crew onto jobs and set reminders that notify them
  • Edit the quote, invoice or planner you already have open on screen
  • Draft the client email with the document attached, ready for you to send
  • Teach it how your business does things, and it remembers.
Mobile

A better phone browser experience

Straight up: BuildrHub in a phone browser works, but it's cramped. It was built desktop first and the small screens are behind. That's being fixed now, and the app above is the longer term answer.

What it involves

  • Every page usable one handed, not just the main few
  • Tables that become readable cards instead of scrolling sideways
  • Bigger buttons for hands in gloves
  • Faster loads on a patchy site connection

Next up

2

Designed and queued. Started once the current batch ships.

Email

Branded email footers

Every email out of BuildrHub signs off as your business. Logo, licence number, ABN and phone on the bottom of the lot.

What it involves

  • Set your footer once and it goes on every email
  • Logo, ABN, licence number, phone and website
  • Links through to your site and socials
  • Same footer on quotes, invoices, variations and reminders
Payments

Get paid online

Clients pay from the invoice itself instead of you reading out BSB numbers. Card on the spot when you pack up, or from their couch a week later.

What it involves

  • A pay button on every invoice you send
  • A QR code the client scans on site
  • Card payments, so no bank details to read out
  • The invoice marks itself paid, nothing to reconcile by hand

Exploring

2

Ideas we like and are still sizing up. No promises on these ones yet.

Clients

A client portal

One place a client sees everything on their jobs, instead of digging through their inbox for the quote you sent in March.

What it involves

  • Every quote, invoice and variation for their jobs in one view
  • What's paid, what's still outstanding and what's due
  • No login for you to manage and no extra seat to pay for
Documents

More document templates

Select from a range of different document templates for quotes, invoices and variations.

What it involves

  • A range of layouts for quotes, invoices and variations
  • Pick a default, then override it on a single document
  • Choose what shows: photos, line detail, terms

Clients

Multiple contacts per client

A client is often a few people. The site manager needs the schedule, accounts needs the invoice. Right now you get one email address per client.

What you get

  • A contact list on every client, each with a name, email, phone and role
  • One main contact used as the default
  • Pick who gets each quote, invoice or variation when you send it
  • Send to several people at once, no more forwarding by hand
Email

Email history and delivery

Once an email leaves the app you're currently in the dark. This gives you the record: what went out, who it went to, and whether it actually landed.

What you get

  • Every quote, invoice and variation email listed against the job
  • Delivered, opened or bounced, with the time it happened
  • See exactly which contact each one went to
  • Resend without building the email again
Billing

Variations and progress claims

Bill a fixed-price job in stages, add variations as the scope moves, and always know what's left to claim.

What you get

  • Variations approved by the client against the accepted quote
  • Progress claims that add up toward the contract, never past it
  • A running ledger of claimed, paid and remaining
Forms

Custom forms

Build your own safety checklists, sign-offs and feedback forms by dragging fields into place.

What you get

  • Drag-and-drop builder with 16 field types
  • Signatures and site photos captured in the form
  • Publish a version and keep old submissions readable
  • Public links for forms clients need to fill in
Documents

Online quotes and invoices

Send a link instead of a PDF attachment. The client reads it in the browser and accepts it there.

What you get

  • Accept or decline a quote online with a signature
  • See when the client opened it
  • A signed copy saved back against the job

Missing something you need?

We're building this with the trades using it. Early users get a real say in what lands next, so send it through and it goes on the list.
