Variations
Price the change, send it and get it signed online. Once it's approved the contract updates, and the variation is ready to bill on its own or with your next claim.
BuildrHub is job management software for Australian trades. Variations are for fixed-price jobs with an accepted quote. Each variation lists only the change, including credits for work removed, and its PDF shows the revised contract total. The client views and signs it online. On approval the variation locks and its amount is added to the job's current contract. Approved variations can be billed as their own invoice or added to a progress claim, and each one can only be billed once.
Variations
Add the extra work, or a negative line for work taken out. You never re-quote the whole job.
The variation shows the original contract, earlier variations and the new total, so the client knows exactly where the price ends up.
The client opens it from a link and signs on their phone. You can see when they've opened it.
Approval locks the variation and adds it to the job's current contract. There's no spreadsheet to keep in step.
Bill an approved variation on its own invoice or add it to your next progress claim. Either way it can't be billed twice.
Turn on reminders and the client gets a follow up email, which stops as soon as they respond.
How it works
Add the extra or removed work as lines on a new variation.
Email it from the job. The client gets a link to view it.
The client signs online and the job's contract updates.
On its own invoice or as extra lines on your next claim.
The things people ask before they switch.
